James was Wandering Artist. Katrina was Grateful. On April 1, 2020, their journey started with a simple, “Good morning.” Through online dating. Though they hadn’t met in person, eight days later, they were “official.” Katrina and James had finally met their soulmate. They learned that fairytales really do come true.

One afternoon, during a lovey-dovey telephone conversation, James asked if the sense of euphoria they were experiencing is what people feel when they do mushrooms. Laughing hysterically, Katrina yelled, “We have Mushroom Love!” And just like that, the World of Mushroom Love or (W.O.M.L, (wŏm-muhl) was created. They talked about a logo to represent their relationship, and the image you see below was birthed. James found great joy in drawing cartoons of their W.O.M.L likenesses, and it wasn’t long before they decided to create the world of W.O.M.L.

W.O.M.L.s represents the love, hope, and faith Katrina and James have found in one another. They love and want to share that love with others. Their world is made up of laughter, beauty, and fun. Hatred and anger are not welcome here. At a time when people are hurting and struggling with so much pain, W.O.M.L.s is the drug-free joy-filled utopia they want to share to add smiles and light to the world.
